We are seeking a Construction Quality Assurance/Mechanical Coordinator to accelerate and enhance our integrated project delivery to produce exceptional outcomes for our healthcare clients. The perfect candidate will provide leadership, client focus, outcomes focus, and be a collaborative part of a growing, innovative, and cohesive ERDMAN team.
This position performs a critical role in a variety of mechanical, electrical and plumbing quality assurance processes including design reviews, quality control of the MEP system installations, acceptance testing and commissioning during construction. After construction has been completed and the building has been turned over to the Client, the Construction Quality Assurance/Mechanical Coordinator will continue assistance to our Client throughout the warranty period and beyond. Typical job responsibilities include:
- Conducting a plan review of the construction documents providing input on any concern regarding installation, performance, reliability, and maintenance
- Conducting project inspections during and after construction completion Verifies proper installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
- Being proactive by providing guidance to the specialty subcontractors prior to installation
- Provide oversight on the acceptance testing required for the MEP systems
- Assist in communication between construction and design team members
- Preparing inspection reports to inform the project team of any quality issues that are encountered
- Conducting service inspections during the warranty period
- Identifying routine maintenance needs
- Arranging outside service contractors for warranty and post warranty repairs
Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree in heating and air conditioning, refrigeration or mechanical system or equivalent work experience
- Ten or more years of relevant work experience to include extensive HVAC experience
- Experience with Direct Digital Control systems required
- Previous experience with commercial buildings preferred
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control training and education preferred
- Safety training preferred
